Have any of you line haul drivers heard anything about TMC trying out PrePlanning? They talked about when I went thru orientation but never really looked any further into it. Since I'm daycab dedicated I'm kinda preplanned anyway.

My former company was big on this and I thought it was great. I was usually home under load that I would deliver Sunday pm or Monday am and sometimes have another load already assigned to me. I ran dry van, about 90% drop an hook. Usually by Monday afternoon would know what I was doing thru about Wednesday or Thursday, and by the time I worked thru those loads, would have the rest of the week planned out, including a load getting me back home again. They gauranteed home for reset.

I think it might be a little harder with flatbed, not being mostly drop/hook. Just wondering. Occasionaly think about going back to OTR, until I sit on my couch and watch TV, then the feeling goes away.:biggrin_25519:

Pre-planning was very rare when I was there, once in a blue moon they knew what my next load was going to be but very rarely and never past the next load.
