let me start by saying Im new to the board. Im a police officer in Oklahoma and trying to get a auto transport company up and running (my family is tired of starving on a cops pay) I have ran an add for a driver. I have had afew that sounded interested in driving, the question they all have is are we paying a precent or cpm. So my question is what is the best method of pay?? And if a precent is better then what is a decent number. I had planned on around .32 to .35 on the cpm.
It seems like the cpm would work better for the driver. He would always be getting paid weather loaded or not. Maybe they know something I dont. thanks
precent or cpm

I take it you're lookin for someone to drive your trucks?
If so is it enclosed van or a open car rack?
Percent vs. cmp would depend on the milage you are planning to run. Alot of variables. I've never hauled cars so I have no idea what it pays. -
yes Im still looking for a driver. 2000 Freightliner 12.7 10 speed 58in flat top with a 2005 Kaufman easy 6 (open rack w/ wireless remote)
I figured 600 miles per day x 5 days a week off weekends = 3000 miles a week x 48 weeks a year =$50,400.00 a year that leaves 4 week vacation -
Union car hauler drivers are getting better than $1.00/mile with benefits.
