Its only going to hurt your income potential. What's your problem with snow?
Training standards need to be way stricter. Should be mandatory that you get practice in the snow before getting on your own. -

There are PLENTY of companies that specialize in southeast only lanes.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Where is your location; Danny Herman Trucking stays mostly below I-40 with runs from east coast to southern California. Lots of I-10 & I-8 interstate.

I had a driver apply who told me she would not drive anywhere there is snow so I asked her what happens when she is in New Mexico and they have snow and under a load, she said the truck doesn't move with anything on the ground.
You know she completed her fourth year with some other company, her app was put in the circular file immediately after the conversation.Lepton1, otterinthewater, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Dan.S and Farmerbob1 Thank this.

It can be done you just have to put yourself in those areas where it doesn't snow. That's not hard to do. I run the Northeast but I have no problem not driving when it snows or icy roads. The days of super trucker has been over. In a year or so I will be enjoying the south east & leave the cold weather snow, & ice to others my time is up. Hello sunny days & warm nights
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Didn’t he think he was to old to start new at 54?
