i agree with a strike ,but if us truckers shut down including swift, shnyderi mean every one it would be the only way it works those drivers driveing for those companys need to realize that it effects them to, there family for the kids getting to school or doctors appointments of the old lady that just wants to see her family one more time before she bites the bullet and should get the rail road involved they dont understand with out boats, the rail system and the truckers the #### dont move!!!!!and we all burn diesel!!!!!!!so either the us drills there #### off?????hmmmmm takes trucks to move that big stuff around ,,how much more can the little guy take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really want to make a statement ?
You really want to have an impact ?

Run the way the book tells you to run,by the letter to the "T"
72 Hrs of a Nationwide "Full Compliance" effort WILL Get some folks attention.
The "back-up" will take several days to unwind,

Just think about the impact this will have on the East Coast alone.

    No need for a Strike . . . . .

I agree just everyone doing (by the book) would indeed back things up a bit. Hey then maybe the rates would go up as well.

People just "REALLY" dont understand how effective it would be.
As long as the "UNIONIZED" mindset of the majority is allowed to be the "guide" there will never be any "progress" made. The last 20 years and 4 attempts will fully support this claim.

This was presented to "OWE'IDA" (OOIDA)back in early 90/91,guess what path/side they chose to take ?

We should be entitled to "better",but the "You Owe Me" Attitude has long since had the road blocked for progress towards any type of favorable change.

:biggrin_25513:Unfortunately, the Saudi's are not at fault for the high prices of fuel. I know its what you have been "fed" by those in charge, however, it is not the case. Those at fault sit in D.C. everyday, just pondering new ways of controlling each and every one of us. Whether its in the additive they mandate in our already unsafe cigarettes to enhance the "safety" qualities, or the restriction of our working hours for "safety", or the speed traps and mandatory DUI checkpoints with blood draws for refusal to ensure our "safety"; everything that is done for our "safety" is in reality done to cede control to those in power by those who aren't. A truck driver is in an uncontrolled, unique position of power which the ruling elite are threatened by. Not only can we drive a specialized vehicle, but most of us travel hundreds of miles and contact hundreds of people on a daily basis. Why is that a threat to anyone you ask? INFORMATION, plain and simple... We can spread the news and information quicker than most and the C/B radio is one of the most basic communication devices we have at our disposal. Watch the push over the next few month's to restrict our cell usage, c/b usage, and add the draconian new regulations on the internet. (all done for our "safety", do you see any coincidence here???). Information is the key to this fight. My fellow drivers, you are squarely in the crosshairs of the political control machine. If we do not stand together, we will all hang seperately.

its funny how it's still relevant after even a couple of years... I'm just commenting on the misconceptions of the majority as to what the real issues are. Different leaders, same issues... year after year after year after year....:biggrin_25514:
