My drivers in the Colorado/Wyoming area are continually experiencing issues with PrePass. PrePass is saying we are lane straddling like 80% of the time. Can anyone provide input on how we can reduce the so-called lane straddling? I know our drivers aren't really doing this 80% of the time, and they are getting very tired of constantly being pulled in to weigh.
Also, does anyone have a proper definition of lane straddling? Thanks!!!

Lane Straddling: ...requirement that cars be driven as nearly as practical entirely within a single lane.
I believe (and I could be wrong) that "lane straddling" in your case refers to only one side of the vehicle wheels going over the "WIM" (Weigh In Motion) scales in the traffic lane.
Truckers who do this COULD (not saying YOUR drivers) be attempting to pass an overweight truck.
PrePass automatically directs those trucks thru the scales.
Your drivers MUST cross the "WIM" (Weigh In Motion) Scales with both sides of the truck crossing the scales. -
dont feel bad, most of the time my prepass never even lights up in those two states
i, personally, think the sencors are mis-alainged from the pole to the roadSara3394 Thanks this. -
Actually, IIRC, Wyoming directs all out-of-State trucks across the scales, including those with PrePass. I don't remember Colorado doing this though.Sara3394 and The Challenger Thank this.

Hi,
I'm with the PrePass Marketing Department. Could you please email us your account number and account name? You can find our email address on the PrePass website (this site isn't allowing me to post the address or a link here). We will pull your bypass history for these states and see if there is some issue with the sites that needs to be rectified. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you for using PrePass!mikley28 and The Challenger Thank this. -
I find it odd that no name was given with this pre pass inquiry?
I might be paranoid, but I would not be sending my account info to someone who does not even include a name.
Pur48Ted Thanks this. -
Well in looking at the post, and then googling and looking at the prepass website, which by the way, is www.prepass.com, I don't see a problem with it.
