I'm planning to come to Prime in late September or early October. I want to study the pretrip ahead of time. Does Prime have a sheet they like you to go by and if so can someone post it or PM it to me. I've been stuck following the blonde lady from Virginia on YouTube and her voice just annoys me. Thanks in advance.

Others may have better ideas or resources Charlami but i will point out that that in each state DMV or DOT site they usually have a pretrip PDF here is the one for NC.

I have that one but I understand some companies train a certain way and even tho I will have a NC permit I will still be testing in MO as far as I'm aware.

Well thats true but i would think that all the info would be in pretty much any states Dot site and probably be roughly the same any where you go to.
good luck with it ! -
Always start by securing the keys, go down one side and up the other covering all the points listed. When the outside is done move inside for the in cab part.
How you do it is really not that important as long as you go from outside to inside. There is no sense doing brake checks if you have a brake chamber hanging. Knowing what to look for and covering it is important. They want to make sure you have an understanding of the important stuff. Don't forget the keys, that gets many. The actual test you don't have to get down and dirty but point to stuff and say I would look for cracks or broken, blah blah blah. Then move on to the next thing. It's easier to develop a system to remember things... under the hood, down the side, the back, back up the other side, inside the cab.
The manual won't lead you wrong. Use the diagram and ask questions about particular parts if you don't understand them.Charlami Thanks this. -
Thanks. This helps immensely.
