You owe me 9000 miles from last week. Pay me. =)

This week? nope Im going home too tired. One week driving OTR, three weeks off.

If I made my money for the month ... I don't need to worry about it rest of this month.

I still think that truck driving isn’t for everyone, and elogs is slowly weeding out the cupcakes and window lickers.

The HOS rules existed for a long time. The ELD's are just taking out the element of creativity in maintaining the logs. Eventually, I see companies having to pay drivers more (including better detention pay), so they can make a living within the rules. Also, they'll get more aggressive with shippers/receivers that abuse the driver/carrier as that money will have to come from somewhere. There will also be some adjustments made to the rules (some have already been made - PC to the nearest safe parking location, the proposed guidance to have off duty time not cut into the 14hr clock).. Eventually, a new balance will be reached and it will be a slight positive for the drivers.

Just some flexibility with break periods would help tremendously. Why is it 7:59 minutes or even 5:00 in the sleeper waiting for appointment a waste of rest time and your 14 and in no way benefits you?

And do away with the 70/8 limit or make it a carrier option would be helpful, too

I have only been driving for 8 months and realize this whole electronic HOS is Soo unsafe.

I couldn't wait for the first year of this Disaster to be over with to see the poor statistics that would show what a disaster this is.

Do away with the 30 minute break. Figure out a way to let us stop our 14 clock once or twice a day.

I ran the 94 corridor all week. The Krap that goes on there is why we will never get away from these regulations.

    Now your really confusing me.

First there was steering wheel holders. Got Splained that.

Months later Window Lickers. Still haven't got an explanation for that though I believe I have spotted many in a white Volvo as they blow by me.

    Now CupCakes?

Yeah, the cupcakes will blame elogs for forcing them to drive tired but without elogs they would drive tired to get the freight there on time.

We have idiots up here from far away lands running like their butts on fire as it is. Once ELDs are implemented the real carnage will begin as they will only be focused on the ELD and racing it. Those clowns will be driving on the side walks in Toronto to make time!
