Hi,
My driver had a preventable accident the other day and because its "preventable" there is a $6500 deductible.
Now my question is, is the driver liable for the deductible or atleast part of it? I do have to pay his wages for 2 weeks.
Thanks

Why would the driver be liable for any part of the deductible? Is he a part owner? Does he get a share of any expected profits too?magoo68 and stayinback Thank this.

Na..you get "stuck in the shorts".Its a business loss on your taxes,no big deal really, but the driver? Are you gonna keep him running?
-
When driver damages the truck while driving...he is liable for the damages...correct?
-
Well,if he hits a gate post, tree limb or something, you can get him for the deductible(if he wants to keep his job) deduct it out of several pay checks. But,if its a real accident, its on the insurance
