Previous Employee Files

    Just curious... when I do get my intial DOT safety audit, will they look at previous employee logs? I had a guy quit me a couple of months ago and I still haven't recieved the last of his log books. I know that they look at the previous 6 months but does that pertain to only current drivers?

    All driver's, gunna need his,or documentation that you've contacted him/her without any responses from driver.they won't like you don't have them but will show you made several attempts to get them

    Yup, send a certified letter and put a copy of it attached to the receipt with the cert from the PO in the file. At least it shows your trying to get them.

    Yes the responsibility is on you to collect / attempt to collect all required paperwork.
