So I'm getting ready to start soon with Pride, out of Salt Lake City, on the OTR side. Just trying to get a feel for where they like to run, pretty straight forward. So whether you're on the OTR or the Regional side, or something else in between, whereabouts are you at today, and where are you heading to? Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you out there, soon.

@duckdiver .. do you, or did you work for them? Thought I remember you mentioning them somewhere around here.

Neither, but I am going to be working there soon. And you're right, I asked about the outward cameras and lane monitors on their trucks, earlier this week. Are you a Pride driver, yourself?

Guess I forgot to mention, I'm asking reefer drivers specifically. Forgot about their flatbed division.

I worked for Pride, and now I am driving dump truck with a local company 10 minutes from my house. I would still be working for Pride if not for that.
They are a great company from the Owner down to the truck detailers.
I was on the dedicated side of things and if I ever go back to driving out of state it will be with Pride on the dedicated services fleet.
My truck had the forward facing camera with the lane deviation system and it really was not as bad as some people think.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
As you can see, I have kept my Pride truck as my picture here.
    Best of luck to you.
    Keep us posted.
OH By the way, they no longer have flatbed, They do mostly reefer and dry freight.

Yes I used to work for them. Its been a few years though. Pay was a little on the low side but they had decent equipment and the office people/management were decent people. I did 48 states but ran a lot of southwest and produce loads. Sorry I couldn't be more help

    G13Tomcat and Jeremy102077 Thank this.

Well thanks both of you for chiming in anyhow. I was just curious, that's all. I don't really have any strong preferences, so long as I'm getting lots of miles. But aside from the usual "we don't go to NYC" line from my recruiter, when she told me they also don't go to Laredo, that got me to wondering. Especially seeing as how I'm all but sure that I've seen Pride trucks down that way before, along with nearly every other company I've ever heard of.

I can't say either way if they go to NYC or Laredo, I do know of one driver that did go to NYC a few times. (He posted on the Pride FB page) I would think they would be going to Laredo, but I can't tell you for sure. Sorry about that.

I would go on their FB page that I believe is run by Steve Schelin he is the director of recruiting, and the drivers that are on there will be glad to answer your questions honestly.

Being on Dedicated, I would go to Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada, with the very occasional run to the Northwest or the Dakotas.

    Jeremy102077 Thanks this.

Jeremy are you with Pride now?
I have decided to go back in August, they have already told me I am welcome back as soon as I can get back there.
    Keep us posted.
Maybe I'll see ya at the terminal.
