Chris is a good guy, you can ask him anything, he will help you out. But feel free to poke your head in my office and ask anything you need to know.
If they did not answer all questions concerning driver tech, I will help where I can.Stonehjl and Rattlayitdown Thank this. -
@Snowshoes
How do drivers make $ with this company? I'm waiting at customers more than driving. The appointments from unloading to reloading are so far apart, keep killing my 14. I realize I have to give it a chance but I'm not off to a good start.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Call your DM, tell him your thoughts. He will work with you. I was constantly on the move when I was driving, I was on dedicated. I am not sure why your appointments are so far apart. Make sure you file for everything and turn in your trip sheets at the completion of every trip. What is your truck #? But make sure you communicate with your DM first and foremost. If you don't tell him your concerns, he won't know how to fix it. Tell him point blank, NICELY, that you feel like you cannot make money the way things are. He will talk to you. I promise. he wants to keep drivers happy.

Are you still with Pride? And what's your over all experience?
-
I only stayed 3 months and then went to my current company which I've been at for a year now. I'm much happier now but the pay isn't the best. With a raise I'm making 42.5 cpm. I have close to 3yrs experience now.
As for Pride, the cpm was decent but the waiting (reefer unload/load) sucked. I was on the SW route which kept me stuck in crappy portions of CA all the time. Hated it. Only thing I liked about it, they had a drop yard close to home. So I went to a company whose terminal was at home, no more issues.Stonehjl, Lonesome and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Ugh I know how it would feel and kill your clock being stuck in Cali
I never did reefer tbh but I assume the wait loss at the docks I was running only dry-van with Amazon terminal to terminal 100% drop and hook
What company are you currently working now if you don’t mind me asking? -
This thread kinda went dead. I am thinking about applying at pride. I read the entire thread and for the most part people sounded really helpful and kind. Is there anyone that has any recent experiences with pride and should I still apply there?
Chinatown Thanks this. -
