Hey Pinoy, I did write Prime safety department AND Rob Low offering to do just that but never heard anything. I now have an appeal through HireRight....hopefully this will get me some where. I send all supporting documents to them as the more I read the DOT regulations, the more I can't count how many times and ways this test should never have been submitted.
Hope to have something good to post on here about it soon.
    Thanks for the advice.

Finally an update, well I am very Blessed and Thrilled to say that going through HireRight worked beautifully and this hit to my DAC has been changed to employee dicharged/quit during orientation/probation...and they kept me as ineligible for re-hire. However, this can be explained by just telling the truth, atleast I am legal to drive and can be covered by insurance.
On that note I am meeting with a couple of guys today who have a three truck fleet and run only the midwest. They found my "work wanted" ad on craigslist that I posted like a month ago. They dispatcher is a twenty year road veteran who can no longer drive due to health, seems cool as hell and assured me he wouldn't dispatch anything he wouldn't run himself.
Not sure what the equipment is yet, however if it runs, I will drive it. :biggrin_25523: Pay is .35cpm and they assured me I am treated like an o/o. This is my truck and trailer to run how I want as I long as I deliver on time. Pay is weekly with extremely minimal paperwork all these big ### companies require, and they want me rolling this week.

So I said, SIGN ME UP! Lol Couldn't be happier and will see you all out there. Thanks for all the advice and well wishes.
    Stay safe out there.

    Pam

Glad things are working out for you.

In a twist of irony, I got popped for a random (my first random) at the Pittston yard last week. I won't get into too many details other than my experience was also....interesting. I highly doubt my drug test was considered "by the book" and was so incredibly disorganized that I immediately thought of your post. The guy who took my random wasn't the "usual guy" who does the testing, and he had absolutely no clue how to even fill out the paperwork.

You'd think peeing in a cup, separating that into two viles, sealing them, and sending it to the lab would be a fairly easy and straight forward process. Apparently it's quite difficult. :biggrin_2556:

I admit that when I first read your post, I had my doubts about your story. But something seriously needs to be done here. Peoples livelihoods are at stake, and I'm actually a little PO'ed about how my "sample" was handled. Luckily my situation ended there, as it apparently came back clean.

Oh, the guy also said "nobody ever fails." Again, I immediately thought of this thread saying to myself..."really?"

    oldweiser2 Thanks this.

    TruckerMike,

I am sooooo glad it work out for you, it is quite scary isn't it? After living this nightmare all I can say is these things are not in anyway 100%, and you're right, this is our livelyhood at stake and something needs to be done!

I understand your skepticism with my story, hell I was skeptical about posting it for that very reason. LOL However, if it helped anoyone else then it was worth all the aggrevation. We all just need to aware that we are not immune to such a situation, and that we can fight it when someone is a moron and clearly can't fill two vials with urine. :biggrin_25523:
Glad it worked out for you my friend. Stay safe out there.

You got that right U2, I never really thought much about piss tests and all that until going through this. I am so aware now of exactly how it should go from start to finish, and I will be the first to make sure that is exactly how it happens from here on out PRIOR to putting my John Hancock on it!

If nothing else I hope everyone learns the DOT testing guidelines from this thread, it can save their career in the long run!

After 40 years in business, shouldn't they be a bit more knowledgable !!!

Geeze, what else do they goof up ?

The drug screening is very important, and must be done properly !!!!

I think that dealing with the "urinalysis process" is like most things in this industry... you have to take the responsibility to monitor the process yourself - how the sample is taken and secured. After all, when you put your signature on that seal you're agreeing that the process of getting your pee into those vials was what its supposed to be.

123456 (Dang! Isn't that just the most imaginative screen name!!) are you getting the impression that your opinions aren't really appreciated here?
