I head out to Springfield, MO on Sunday - starting orientation on Tuesday. To say that I'm excited is an understatement. A couple of days to chill and then finally get started on this new life.

I am so psyched to have been accepted into their apprenticeship program, especially after finding out that Prime rarely hires new drivers out of Florida.

    vmaggs and 123456 Thank this.

Nice work, good luck. I have heard lots of good things from drivers joining the company that way.

Day one is in the books. What a whirlwind day. Filled out a ton of paperwork, drug test, physical, and the "interview". Most thorough review of my past since applying for my first Air Force security clearance a hundred years ago. Also completed 5 of the 7 simulator exercises. Should finish the last 2 today, but can't even get into the sim lab until 3 this afternoon.

So far, I'm extremely happy with my decision to go Prime. I can't wait to get into an actual truck! Got just enough time behnd the wheel at Roadmaster for the bug to bite me and I've been chomping at the bit ever since.

Congrats!!! Im just finishin up my 100 hours (which is more like 130-140 hours lol) Driven close to 3000 miles in 3-4 weeks, drove over 1100 in 2 days from Cali to Texas. Heading back towards Springfield to test, should be there.....thursday friday maybe. All depends on the next load heading that way. Going to pick up a load at 1900 tonight (if its ready, well see) in Pa at 0400 tommorow somewhere in Ohio, then heading back for testing. I hope it goes right... only got 7 1/2 hours left on my 70 clock....

Just wanted to put this info out there. I spoke with my recruiter (Gracie) this morning and she informed me that there has been a change in the mileage requirement for training. Before (for D seat), you had to get 60K miles # $600/week or $.12/mile. Now, its 30K miles at the same pay. Wasn't sure if anyone else knew about this.
