Johnson City, TN at 90 till morn appt.
On the edge of Cherokee Nat'l Forest, one of my favorite places in the country. "Trail of Tears" started right here & ended where I "kinda" live in OK.
Pulled for inspection at London, KY scale & all good.
Since wasn't rushed for time, had a nice lengthy bull session with the trooper. He's retiring in 2yrs & coming to join us on the road as one of US!LOL
He recently started driving part time on a 20yr old CDL that he never utilized in the past, so still green all around. Plans to go full time after retiring. Had lots of questions.
Nice to be able to have the time to talk to a trooper about both side's perspectives & what we both deal with when our paths happen to cross.
Good guy...... I wish the best for him on his second career path. Will prob be hearing from him down the line.
Just goes to show ya, no telling how those "Oh, Crap...." moments may turn out. Sometimes, you just don't know.... LOL
Been a beautiful day in the backwoods, coming in off the back roads....I must say.
(Should have ended this by saying he still wrote me a bunch of tickets, but..... LOL).
Peace All

Valleyview, Ohio just got unloaded an hour early from my appointment sweet! Now to sit and wait because prime fails at planning trucks and rather have them sit and waste hours

Still sitting in Seattle. Got to love warranty work! Freightliner engineers are now having them remove the interaxle drive shaft and test drive it to see if that shaft is the problem. It's the only one that hasn't been worked on or looked at so far. If that doesn't change the vibration on the test drive, they'll take the main drive shaft out again and rev the engine up while in 10th gear to see if it's an engine or transmission issue.
At least warranty is paying for all of this work, that's the plus side! I just want back to driving already!!!
If I'm down much longer I'm thinking it's time to buy another truck so I can just go make some money and let freightliner just take there time fixing this one.
@FullMetalJacket I might have a truck for you!
