Well the problem is as company, we are supposed to follow the route given via Qualcom so we are sure to drive 200 miles more than we are paid for and can stop at our aproved fuel stops..
Also Im still sitting at my 01 that doesnt have a load for me for the last 2 hrs meanwhile Springfield is a hour away... Think Im getting detention pay? Yeah Ill probably get paid the same as I did sitting at Tyson for 30hrs my 1st week or the 24hr reschedule from last week...

Ha, ha.... just left Tyson in Noel. Ever even been there? Ha, ha .... they are actually getting better, but still pushing the DDT time. Least they made it this time. First time in 4/5yrs they made it under time!
You'll learn the FEW customers we have that you can definately anticipate a long wait. You'll learn those you should call first to see if load even ready, before starting your clock & putting you in a potential situation.
Yeah, if you do get the detention, at least it's something. You at least have it a bit better than myself on that.
I have to split mine, if we get it, with the guy I run for. Wanna trade?
If truck is down w/associated fixed costs & I'm down without running my milage.... we both loose. Fair deal & reason for us both to split. Prime at least will give it all to you, if gotten. (Do your part & it is most often paid due to contract). Do your part & get your time stamps down before submitting trips. Will not hurt if you get in a habit of doing it for every trip, regardless of detention.
What I'm trying to say, it is part & parcel of what we deal with out here on a frequent basis. Not everyday or week, but often enough. No sugar coat, no ########....
You're brand new. Just outta the box, haven't even unwrapped the package yet! Hate to see it going that way out the getgo on your own. But, it IS an unfortunate set of circumstances for you, no doubt. It isn't that bad the great majority of the time. But, it DOES occur & you better be prepared to deal with it.
Your definately in new a new realm, now.
You can do this, bro. Just have to get beyond the bad "out the gate " luck.
It get's a he'll of a lot better.

If I can just hang out down south/southwest long enough till my birthday next week, I'll be one happy camper. Bet my bottom dollar, it ain't gonna happen, though.
Do not mind driving in the crap at all. But, this original 'ol northerner absolutely hates the cold & mess, anymore.
Seems like it only gets worse, every year older I get. Man, I'm getting freakin' old!
