Outside of Waco TX at the PETRO (nice one too)... Picked up in Waco next to the Mars candy factory taking a load of something to Romeoville, IL. Romark (01) is very very :biggrin_2556: anal. I pulled in and was the 3rd truck in the driveway. They told me that I had to leave and come back because they only allow 2 trucks at a time in the driveway. They said Prime knows, but I told them that I didn't know and they didn't have a sign out front. Oh well, looped around and came back. Talked to the FM about why it wasn't in the instructions (macro 19) and he said it was, but it didnt show up on the QC. I let him know of my frustration and he let me know he would fix it. (sub FM as mine is on vacation) I really wanted to say screw :biggrin_25513: that load and get another, but I already said yes. Got a 11 trailer (111222) and had just enough time to get into Dallas, but figured it would be safer here for the night and boogie on through the big D at 3 AM. Route takes me by the house, so I will get to stop there for a bit....

Gator... sorry to hear about the ribs... can't wait to hear the story.... (hopefully it didn't involve a pimp or a gogo bar bouncer)

    bholm Thanks this.

Congratulations on your first survival episode from Romark in Waco! The store/ship for Mars... so if you look at your BOL you probably have Skittles or something. Waco - Romeoville is a common load for us. Supposedly "Everyone knows" that they only allow two trucks at a time... I learned the same way you did!

At the Elkhart, IN service plaza on the toll road. 240 miles left to the 90 at Maple Heights, OH and delivery is not until Wednesday morning. Need to recoup some hours anyway. Still, would have been nice to have the revenue for THIS week. BUT, you can't look week to week but at the bigger picture. A Wednesday delivery means a good start on next week!

    Get better soon Gator!!!

Dropped my load of structural steel at the LSU campus this AM. Met another Prime driver there. Wow were those some tight turns. My truck and trailer definitly didnt fit well. Deadheaded back up to Montgomery to drop my trailer at a secure lot. Now sitting at the house for 5 days off hometime. FM said to take the 5 off. Been gone since the begining of November.

This should put a smile on It's face. I'm sitting at my 90 waiting for crew to show up. Supposedly had a 6 am crane appt. Hmmm no crane here, and I had to wake my contact up to remind him of our appt.

At Sherwood Foods in Maple Heights, OH. Got here a day early because they said they might unload me today. No such joy. At least there is overnight parking.

Well, the ol' EGR temp sensor decided to complain this morning - its been doing this on and off since September. And (as usual) by the time I get it to a service bay, the thing is working fine. POS. So here I sit at Freightliner in Monroe MI - hope that they'll replace the dang thing this time. Once the ECM detects the fault it lites up the check engine and engine malfunction lamps, and derates the engine to the point I can only manage 30 mph. GRRR!

Isn't it amazing how they can design things that only malfunction when they are NOT near a shop? lol My driver's seat loses air - unless it is in the shop and I have asked them to look at it while they are doing something else. Then it is like it holds its breath or something! The EGR thing, of course, is lots more important, and I have had things like that as well. "Could Not Duplicate" is one of the most frustrating things to see on a mechanic's report!
