Absolutely! At least our Parachute Shop had a "money back guarantee" posted and never had to investigate malfunctions! Yes, they had a sign on the door: "100% Money Back Guarantee. If your parachute fails to open properly, bring it back for a full and cheerfully given refund." lol Always made us feel good as aircrew knowing our guys had such confidence in their abilities!

Not to get into war stories on the "20" thread... just to SALUTE a fellow AF veteran!

I had that problem in Jan. SLC fixed replaced it in about an hour.

The problem surfaced in cold weather. Either after a 10 hour break it would not clear until the truck got up to or near operating temp. Or after a long stretch of driving if I parked without letting it idle for a few minutes... Like a fuel island or the CO scale house that wanted to see my permit book). In those particular situations it would clear after letting the truck sit with engine off for 15-20 min.

Again, it only happened in really cold air temps near or below zero.

    Yup...

Freightliner will have the part in the AM, so all's good. Meanwhile, got put back together, and am at the TA (again) for the night.

Oh, after 5 days in Orlando/Daytona... Boss gave me a 5th day for the rain delayed 500.

Juice from Bradenton FL to Jessup MD. Load of bananas from Gloucester City NJ that I brought to the yard. Was supposed to have fridge installed and they oversold their inventory. Then an additional 8 hour wait to discover that the shipment of fridges were now a few days late shipping because of the tornados in the south.

One day wasted. I did manage to get a couple things done by the tractor and APU shop WITHOUT an appointment.

Ended up keeping the bananas and delivering them to Walmart in Harrisonville, MO. Was already preplanned on a load back in Springfield before I left for delivery.

Currently headed to Stockton CA with a Kraft load from the caves.

Sitting at 01 in Highland Ill. Got here at noon today. Took me 3 hours to tarp my load due to 50 MPH wind gusts. Once finished the shipper gave me bill of ladens. I started adding up weight and wouldn't you know, it came out to 51,300 on the trailer. Mother fers. Was a preloaded trailer also. So ran out of hours while untarping. After the load was rebuilt, they decided to be nice and let me tarp inside the building. So 8 hours from my the time I arrived I'm finally going to sleep, 6 hours left on my 10, sitting in a field. Got to get a microwave, no food for me today.
