You got there Friday... Seems pretty cut and dry from this angle...
Keep sneaking in your snide remarks about reefer drivers sitting.

I refuse to spend one bloody copper covered zinc slug (aka a "penny") in that bung hole of an establishment.

If I'm going east I park in the west one just to be contrary to the whole affair!

RA doesnt "send" you to the terminal for something like that. You get a QC reminder and its up to the driver to make arrangements... He had to of requested a trip to the terminal.
You, however, seem to be a roller.
Here is some advice for the other guys that like to keep moving that may not know.
1. Keep yourself informed and keep track of your maintence periods. If you are new to your truck you can look at the shiny red DOT sticker and see when what month your annual tractor inspect is due. You should have a copy of the DOT annual inspect form in your permit book to refrence also.
2. You have all month to get it done... You usually get a reminder from RA via QC a week or two before the month is up.
3. TA and Petros can do tractor inspect. Have it done on a 10 hour break under load. It takes under an hour and depending on the promotion you might get a steak dinner. Dont forget the rewards points
4. With all repairs, PMs, and annual inspections: Get with the TA or Petro shop as soon as you pull in for a break to get a place in line for a shop work order. You should sleep and be ready when they call you. If you are a go getter, you already have experiance sleeping in lots waiting be called for a dock, or sitting in a dock. Its just like breaking at a customer. You should have a king pin lock already, so that wont be a problem if they ask you to drop your trailer... plus, if its the middle of the night, you dont lose your parking spot with a dropped trailer.
5. you should be scanning all repair reciepts, and inspection forms with your current load paperwork. If its an inspect form, message RA what trip number just in case its not pulled and filed for your truck.
6. If you were sitting in Springfield under a load for 3 days earlier this month that would have been a good time to get the inspection done. If you were in Springfield a week or so ago for a repair, that would have been a good time to request it to have it done too. If you were at a TA in Roanoke Thursday night on break under load, you could have had it done, then dropped your load on Friday at the terminal and rolled onto something else for the weekend. Finally, if you hadnt requested a load to the terminal and been assigned a load that rolls on some miles over the weekend, you have until the end of the month to get it done at any of a number of truckstops you might pass or break at and avoid sitting for almost 3 days.
On a unrelated note, I got a PM from a trainee. You count every hole on the reefer trailer when making pin settings for the tandems... including any bars, welded holes. Its unfortunate that the trainee had to argue with his trainer, but it must be totally satisfying when said trainer got a ticket in CA. Trainee: counted 8 holes Trainer: counts 6. Busted! -

Also checked on my truck, new tranny is in, new clutch is in, they are just doing so additional checks to make sure everything is cool !!!! Will be able to pick it up next time I am through, which should be in a month, knock on wood lol -
Well U2 whats u r saying is true i can only add what i know i never said ra sent him to pittston the load his fm gave him ran him thru there and thats when the insp was done when he was in spf lasf wk that was the plan but that didnt go as planned now why wasnt the plan of letting TA/Petro do it introduced i dont know figured prime would rather pay in house than a truckstop bc i did mention that one of them could prob do it
Yes i do like to roll sont like sitting been trying to avoid a 34 since i hit my 70 but my fm took it upon himself to bring me in w/o informing me of his plans
U2 u seem to be someone that has a lot of knowledge about the industry and full of great advice but its just the way u deliver it that causes issues dont know what it is between u/ord probably none of my business but a good friend just cant stay on the sidelines -
