Sitting at home on MD's eastern shore anxiously waiting for 2/24 to come to fly to SpringMo. So I can officially be apart of the Prime Inc family.

Last night of home time... Get back on my trainers truck in the morning. Gotta finish out my miles!
-
I see the board is back up. Well, left the house to Smithfield with dead piggies for John Morrell in Cincinnati, Then to Bowling green KY to get snuggle fabric softener and dropped that in SPRIMO. Turned in truck and waited for my former trainer and his trainee to pick me up. He is doing hometime this week and also lives in VA beack, So drop the trainee, run team for the week. Then home to start the new job.

Out of the house on Saturday morning... picked up a ready (!!) trailer in Dodge City, and dropped it at SPRIMO last night.
So... sent a QC message to the RA stand-in, third-string, bench warmer guy that I'd be there about 1800, and I needed to get on the list for Freightliner on MONDAY MORNING. That would be this one right here and now. Didn't hear back from RA, and its a good thing I called Freightliner. Yup, they started the process about 1000 yesterday, but no one ever followed through on it. So I have an appointment that I made myself for the first available slot they had last night when I arrived. That would be 0200 on TUESDAY. It helps to be pro-active on your part in all of this, and not totally depend on the support staff, whether you're company, lease or owner-op.

I suppose I should be happy I'm not PO'd about it being next week! Oh well, gives me some time to do other stuff... still have truck rearranging to do, need to put on new mud flaps (wind in Colorado or Kansas decided it wanted one of mine) so picked up some stuff at the Petro in Joplin on the way up here.

Good times! -

1st rule of weekend Road Assist: don't count on them for ANYTHING unless you are broke down.
I get a weekly reminder around 1700 every Friday that basically says if its not an emergency it will have to wait till Monday. -
Honestly, that depends. My weekday RA guy is great - but this is the lease side of the house too. I can count on him to do this sort of thing, and it gets done. Its the night and weekend guys - they are a serious bunch of loosers.
