Ya know, all yous on the east coast have still not brought me WAWA coffee LoL

 

Awwww... you got me on that. It just looked soooo good, and the custard bismark was singing it's siren song.

Lexington KY... needed a nap, and decided to stay when the Joplin storm decided to start moving through.

But the coffee was good!

 

I am at the terminal at SLC trying to get a/c fixed. Apparently a defective hose/connection from the factory... so the Freightliner guy has to work on it in the morning. Springfield guys should have caught this when I wrote up the a/c on my initial inspection, but they are so busy getting you in and out they don't check to make sure they got the problem... they just (maybe) fix the symptoms. Anyway... Hopefully get it done in the morning and be on my way... probably to get some potatoes!

Going to have a chat with the 2nd-string, substite, replacement, benchwarmer. If he wants to fill the Dude's seat and dispatch this board for another week, he'd be well advised to get it together.

 

Couldn't agree more... My FM is really good and takes good care of us (same one I had last time I was at Prime), but those 2nd string ones... I do wonder sometimes!

Hubby is on his way to Swedesboro, NJ from Laredo, TX. The last few loads he has had he seems to have almost a full extra day to get there. This one he says there is no way to get it off early so time for the trainee to get in some extra backing practice while they wait to unload tomorrow morning.

 

Well, I decided to park early at Meijer because of lack of local truck stops.

Got there around 1800.
Checked in at 0230 with gate gaurd for 0300 appt.
Checked in with gate phone to Recieving at 0330 and told to wait for security to come get me when a door opens up, mention of an actual 0500 appt?
Checked in with Recieving at 0800 told to still wait.
Got Door at 1100.
Empty at 1400, told Auditor has to go home, and I have to wait for next shift.
Paperwork in hand at 1530.

Next load came shortly... Frozen hams from Greyson Ky. Washout and subsequent routing south had me come down US127. Severe Thunderstorms hit just past Hamilton. I watched a tree come down in a gust about a block ahead as all the power went out. Fortunatly I was able to turn around in a tight Church Parking lot.

Dropped early this morning in Indy and took a break in their lot.

Currently south of Indy, post washout. just got a preloaded trailer plan going from Cinncy to IA.
