i'm not female. i also no longer drive for swift after having driven for them for 2 3/4 years, having no preventable accidents, or tickets on my record. it's clean as can be. i won't jeopardize it for anything. not even a sip. got a problem with that? if you or others want to get your wranglers in a tangle up your bum, so be it. the only people who have a problem with it are the ones who do drink while they're out and about. save that stuff for your home time.

i have proudly likely ended the careers of 6 fools who were too stupid to not close their privacy curtains, and drink away. if i can see you doing something illegal, it becomes my business, and the business of those who you share the road with.

when it comes to drivers putting their rig in the ditch, i've seen more peterbuilt drivers park their crap in there than swift drivers. i only stopped driving for swift because i didn't want to listen to another summer of the anti-idling bullcrap, had ambitions to restart my education in college, and hoped for something local to spring up. unfortunately my local gig fell through and schooling is being put off until further notice.

i hope to someday work for arizona dps, chp, or any state where i can work in commercial vehicle enforcement. if not, then it'll be a major in either business, human resources, or atmospheric science.

when you trained there..You did a team operation Right? When your co driver was driving and you were on your 10 hour break....Did you HONESTLY spend all 10 hours in the bunk or did you sit in the passenger seat for an hour or so before or after you did your sleeping. Now answer HONESTLY...

I get in the bunk LandShark. For three reasons. 1) to me even though others see it as a small lie, I just see it as a lie. 2) I don't lie well. If someone questioned my log, I'd turn red, start crying and well my goose would be cooked. 3) also..........I absolutely hate the passenger seat on this truck it bounces up and down unless you raise it to the top and then my feet dont touch the ground. :yes2557:

Thank you. Trust me it's hard. You can't sit upright in the bunk if the upper bunk is down. The other thing that helps me though is I require a lot of sleep so usually I'm asleep most of that time! LOL I'm not a person who can get by on 6 or 7 hours. I need about 9 every day.

The other part to it I know sounds geeky but to be blunt I have to many faults as it is. I'm to imperfect already. I don't need to add lying to my imperfections. I have to face myself in the mirror every day when I put on my make up and I don't want to have to look at a liar when I do. I'm not judging anyone else who puts sleeper and then sits up. I'm only responsible for me. I log my breaks, my pre trips and post trips. I log my fuelings and anything I do. If I'm off duty and we're eating I put off duty not sleeper. My poor little log pages look like a ekg some days. LOL

CHP is still advertising for the Coop inspectors...right now I would be wary of any CA state position though..unless you like being paid with an IOU!

You can drop the holier than thou attitude.

It isn't against the law for a driver to enjoy a cold one in his sleeper. His home away from home.

And I know what its like to almost loose 2 family members to a drunk. With in the last few weeks matter of fact.

Stop accuing me and others of being alcoholics. You know nothing of me, and the others that stand up for their rights.
Truth of the matter is that I very rarely ever had a cold one while on the road. But in your self righteous
world won't believe me, so why bother.
