Ok.... It's official, I will be going to Springfield for the 28th.

2 silly questions. Will I need a SSN card?

And, I am curious about an "average" morning. I am a morning guy, and I like my am routine. Now, I know there is "nothing routine" about OTR, but the average morning things(coffee, smoke, potty) are kinda important and make for a much better day. So is it usually feasible to wake up, hit the head, get a coffee, have a smoke, brush your teeth and hit the road?

Enough ID to complete the provisions of an I9 form, apply for a CMV learners permit (if you don't already have one,) apply for a HAZMAT endorsement and a TWIC card.

Gawd I hope so! Can you imagine the mess in the truck without that much, let alone the smell of the trucker if he doesn't!!

    reg. gym bag
    laundry bag
    ditty bag
    5 pr. jeans
    7-8 t-shirts
    7-8 undies
    7-8 socks (1pr wool/nylon blend)
    1 pr jammies (lol)
    1 pr long undies
    ST boots
    sneakers (will wear down)
    sandals
    2 hoodies/fleece
    raincoat
    2 hats (winter/baseball)
2 pr work gloves (1 winter)
    towel (almost forgot this one)
    asprin, immodium ad, beeno (lol)
    3 ziploc bags
    a good book

    My briefcase includes;
    notebooks
ma cdl book (to study on plane)
State Cert. birth Cert. (which is really cool actually)

What am I missing? I assume the trainer will have all of the truck related stuff already. I do have a set of Carharts. Def won't bring the bib, but should I bring the jacket? It's kinda bulky if I'm not gonna need it right away.

Thanks for looking this over and any info you want to share.

If you have any type of prescription eyewear bring an extra pair as well as prescription info.

All MEDs should be in original containers

Make sure you have your cell phone charger and REVIEW your cell phone plan to ensure you have the best deal before hitting the road.
