You get the MO cdl but you have to transfer it to your home state before you can upgrade into your own truck. No clue on if they hire in SD, Id assume they do.. Not sure how it works at thir UT campus.

Just a tip, if you do the online application, save it at the end and print it to take to orientation. When you get to orientation you have to refill out the same application on paper and they like to try to catch people not putting the same info on both.. If you have a copy of what you did online, it makes it easy to put the same info down at orientation..

    That's a good tip.

Yeah. Welp. I guess i need to relocate if they make you transfer cdl. I'll call Massachusetts RMV first. Maybe they only block getting a cdl in mass. It actually reads not allowed to issue a PERMIT due to any liscense. Maybe transferring once you have one is different. Anybody know?

####. Just looked at Massachusetts RMV site under the Transferring out of State CDL to Massachusetts.

I need a proof of cdl with the company i work for and a MINIMUM of two years cdl experience.

If i understand correctly any prime school cdl holders CAN'T transfer to Mass until they have 2 years provable driving experience.

I work next to trucking distribution center and cannot believe the route into that place.

Same city was forced to redo a main road for access to a new plant and its still a #### show. As crap as drivers are, the 4 wheelers, if it wasnt for our kindness letting cmv into traffic and waiting patiently while they block main roads backing into lots , they wouldn't get far on local roads here.

Saw a swift truck ####ting his pants figuring out exits on 84 west at 91 junction in hartford ct. Basically stopped traffick forcing lane changes awkwardly.. They'res so many crazy highway junctions.

I'm watching trucks closely now and I'm seeing how they handle it.

One thing i learned since considering trucking is why they go so #### slow. Mass pike has a steepish slope by.495 and noticed trucks crawling up that all time. Governed trucks are a hazard. But honestly i always assume there's a good reason for the slow speeds...heavy..broken down..etc... Turns out they're pinning it. Lol.

Maybe being from mass should make me want to work this region given my insight to the area. Toss up. I've heard of the open road. It's not in mass.

Prime CDL... That is officially an out of state CDL correct? Not a temporary or.special designation until you officially transfer to.your homestate. I know your only allowed one cdl under one.state.at a time.

If it's a legit Missouri state cdl .. Then i bypass the Massachusetts regulations on.obtaining a cdl in mass.

But at the same time Massachusetts only allows other state cdl.transfers if.you have minum 2 years experience...

I never heard of a Prime driver being denied going solo for not being.able to.transfer cdl to.homestate before.going solo. I assume prime would have to.accept Massachusetts law?

And that also means if i leave prime.after 1 year...my cdl stays in Missouri??? Is that legal?? Prime probably has a legal way to.claim domicile while employed but if im leave before 2 years seems like my cdl is no.good in Missouri or Massachusetts.

Hmmm. I'll post the.answer to this when i find out. I dont know how many States have this 2 year minimum but I've never heard about it before. Guessing it's no big deal

Two years is plenty of time to set up a new domicile outside of MA.

Definetly. But the thought of it. I never heard anything about new Mass drivers going threw Prime...some have families i guess. They couldn't move. And a high percent usually leave after a year.

RMV visit is tomorrow. But they are not exactly the most informative people. Websites clear anyway.

I'll be contacting prime.and others soon. Arizona is still likely.

Many drivers leave their first company within a year; that's not unusual at all.
I love the Southwest; you probably will too.
I like Las Vegas, but it's not for everyone. www.lasvegassun.com
