Pretty much sounds like what IP is asking total gross u make divided by all miles= Gross revenue

so so just use as n example say truck grossed $6,000 drove 2500miles 6000/2500=2.40 that would be what u make before take out fuel truck payment etc

Its a good way of judging what your potential income is. You guys should know what your numbers are... yearly, quarterly and monthly averages per week and per mile. These are single numbers, not a range.

Its important so that you know how your business is doing. Its called business administration. Otherwise you're running open loop, and its like the jerks say... you're just an over glorified company driver renting a truck.

    Be a Business Owner.

    That sounds pretty good.
I'm looking for a good way out for being a company driver being paid by scam per mile.
Been looking around... dunno what the best option is though.

IP, have you heard much on lone mountain? Looks like they have a 2015 cascadia (midroof is what I want) for 11k down and 2400 month payments. Looks pretty good to me and I'm gonna save a little more for a down payment on a reefer. Is that down payment for everyone? Or does it depend on credit? I am going to give them a call. Frieghtwhipper I've been making some good cash but I won't ever own the truck which is no big deal since im simply using the truck as a tool to increase my money so I can buy my own rig and trailer. Hopefully by next year I will have enough saved

sounds like you are working your way up, I respect that. That's what I want to do.
Do you have less than a year experience as your profile says?

It'll depend on your credit, I'd think, but I've never explored Lone Mountain seriously. You'd best explore this deal in its totality, including your revenue, ALL costs, how your maintenance will be done and paid for, and what will be left for you.

From what you're saying I'm guessing that all your savings will go into the down payments. What happens if you have a breakdown? How are you going to pay for fuel? What happens if your freight bills don't pay for 30 or 45 days?

Yes something like that lol, Im going to stay here for awhile and maybe lease onto them once I have enough saved, and IP what my plan in the first place was to have 24k saved by next year, (spring or summer time of 2016) hopefully only put 11k on the truck, 6k on a decent used trailer and have 7k left over, I realize I need plates insurance and all that.. No date is set or anything like that. My plan is to be prepared 150% and if I'm not, then I will give it more time. I want to have atleast 5k left after everything for exactly what you said. There's no way I wanna be broke after I have everything set up.
ive always wanted my own authority, so it just depends where I stand next year, since I've been with the company im with now I've been treated good, so it all depends. Maybe if I have my own trailer I can get 90% instead of 79% who knows. I'll wait and see. And frieghtwhipper I have JUST under a year, in 2 weeks I'll be at my 1 year.
