    nice.

I read your thread on Uz Trans and I actually called them. They said they require at least 2 years experiences and it's not worth me applying yet if I wanted to. That requirement is from their insurance qualifications for drivers.
Dunno but that's what they told me.

They also said you can't lease a truck right away with them, you first have to be a company driver. To basically see how you do.
Also they said they're out of trucks to lease until February.
I forget the womans name but it was a woman with a real soft quiet voice in recruiting.

Michelle, I met Bobby (the owner) awhile back and he bent the rules, I guess the perks of being the owner lol. It's a good company man, I drove company a few months and ran my *** off I'd say my average was 3300-3400 weekly the most I did was over 4100. I just started leasing not too long ago and I've been making some good money, I chose to stay in the northeast this week and I haven't had a load pay me less than 2.20 a mile. The money is there but you deffenltly have to work for it, the time you have to get loads to there destination is crazy! I mean some times I don't even have time to stop and piss. All n all I love it because I know my wheels are always turning im making decent paychecks now. Give it another year and call em back. As company driver my paychecks were right around 1200-1300 bring home wkly

man you've got it all figured it with a year experience. good job.
this is what I respect right here..

not all these Werner and CR England drivers working for .29 CPM

The way i look at it is if my butt is in a truck I better be making the most of it I can.

    you leased at Prime...

Over the duration of your lease what was the average rate per mile to the truck?

Exactly man, my view on it 100% my first otr job was with Roehl and I was making 4-600 a week. I couldn't stand the thought of making so little for being gone all the time. Good jobs are out here, and good lease opportunitys aswell! IDC what 90% of drivers say about a lease "fleece" or whatever else. SURE if you lease with CR England or swift I'd imagine your getting screwed. %%%% is that way to go, NOT .90 CPM. After I add all my expenses including my average week in fuel my truck costs 1.01 to operate. So .90 CPM plus say .30 FSC I would be making a whoppin .19 CPM and what happens if my truck breaks down? I'd be done and out. Do research man! Find a small company, there's plenty out here and 9 times outta 10 there lease deals (if they got one) are far better then the big name companys. There is money to be made, I laugh at all these drivers that say you'll go broke leasing and all this n that, sure I'll never own the truck and I'm perfectly fine with that, because my first paycheck was over 2100, and my last paycheck for one trip was 1500. So there is no point in arguing with the truckers that know it all. Do your own research and make your own desecions.

you'll go broke leasing when you getting paid by .RIP OFF per mile instead of %

no way I'd ever lease a truck getting paid by the mile, those leases are garbage. It's all a scam.
TransAM trucking pays gets this... 0.84 CPM + fuel to lease a truck with them.
What's the point of leasing a truck if you're only earning enough to pay for the truck and fuel? lol what a joke

Percentage is the only way to go, along with turning down cheap freight.

I've done a lot of research into lease and there is a lot of garbage out there but it's not all bad.
Those who complain probably did a lease with Swift or something silly like that.

would you leave Prime for Swift and their $1 a mile lease?

I met a previous Swift leaser here at Crete, we went to recover a truck a couple days ago.
I asked him how he did leasing at Swift, he said terrible.
I asked him if he earned more than being a company driver, he said no.
He wouldn't tell me the number details though, I guess he was too ashamed.

I have no desire to jump... however, I in fact know people at Swift who do very well. From your standpoint as a rookie driver, it would be well for you to consider that "cheap freight" is all relative to what your costs are.
