Thanks again for the info. I see no harm in passing it on.

It's all about helping others right?

    Take care...

Yeah, I was smacked with a ruler for that link.

Check the link before you reprimand someone inappropriately.

    It's been fun.

    I'm out.

Howdy all, esp. Steve & Lo if you're there.

Got to thinking about Prime's training program and had another question.
I know you study for your CDL permit prior to going to Prime's orientation.

Show up at orientation, take the CDL permit test, DOT medical screen, etc. and pass it.

Interview with prospective trainers, get a trainer and hit the road without one single hour of drive training correct? It's all training as you pick up and run live loads with your trainer, correct?

After training return to Prime for road test, pass it, get CDL and run solo for 20,000 miles (I believe), then upgrade to A seat driver and carry on. Right?

About how many miles a week should a new guy expect after upgrade to A seat company driver?

Sounds like Prime has it together as far as training goes.
    My concern is that:

    1. It's going to take a while to upgrade to A seat = lots of monthhs making little $.

    2. Prime caters more to the lease drivers, meaning the company guys come second and make less.

Anyone with any knowledge on any of my questions, please reply.

    Thanks all....

So prime does not give drivers who recruit other drivers kickbacks?

Why would you need to direct others away from the site to answer questions they may have about prime? On a prime thread?

Don't want anyone pointing out that they have one of the most expensive lease programs in the country? Or discuss the failure rate of drivers who sign up for it.

Very astute observation. The company driver most always cleans up for the lease drivers and teams at most company's that have them.

They can't pay that $781 per week if their bumping the dock all the time and doing short haul, so guess who picks up the slack?

DON'T lease company equipment. DO contract your equipment to a company
