Running Aces gave you some good info on Prime. There long training program is ridiculous, most new drivers only need 2-4 weeks with a trainer. There’s lots of companies that hire new drivers that are a lot better than driving a SLOW prime truck. You might consider FFE and look into their linehaul division.

I've seeing so many WISE advises given here, it does not require even do a search. I've "quit" trucking in 2015, just was tired of it, yet.. 2020 bought a truck and went back, cuz of CV19 scam, that killed my local income.. have a family to feed. Feel for you, just don't rush taking anything, do it on your own, if there is a chance.

Attend at least 160 hr. cdl school. More than 160 hrs. is also good. I think WIOA program also approves 160 hr. or more.
