That's my beef with Prime also, FM trying to force crap loads down your throat. I have had to refuse sometimes 2 or 3 loads in a row, its ridiculous at times. FM just doesn't get it or maybe he does and has higher forces that force those crap loads on him, wonder sometimes.....Can't get a straight answer. I am talking North East loads that pay well but their to short and eat up too much time. Hell you could spend two days on a load that pays 4 dollars a mile but its only 100 miles, ridiculous......

Guess everyone has different experience. I bounced around n/e for a week and grossed over $4000. Yeah low miles but not looking at a lot of miles cause that cost fuel100 Percent, DADof3, albert l and 2 others Thank this.

One week is meaningless. Run the NE for six month, three, winter, three non, then average. I'll bet you won't get anywhere near average $4k.100 Percent Thanks this.

Maybe but the pay is still decent. Low miles = less fuel so the more money you can make with the least amount of miles means more money in your pocket.
I just go a little crazy when things are said that you cant make money leasing in these areas.
Yes I get bored just setting after doing 200 to 300 miles and set till morning to deliver. But when the load pays $500 to $700 for a days work i can deal with being bored.okiefarmr, darthanubis, Pintlehook and 4 others Thank this. -
No, I get it. That was my route company not lease.wolf71 Thanks this.

Well that's the issue, I would run the NE, but if the loads are not timed right, it just does not work, and this FM has no timing. I figure he is just too dam lazy to preplan the loads. And as far as grossing 4 thousand a week in the northeast, I can run one load out of chobani into the NE and gross 4 grand. Couple weeks ago I ran load into Idaho, then a chobani into the NE and grossed 6 grand. If I could book my own loads at least I would only have myself to blame. Another beef I have is with Beef. Every time I get a meat load, which pays very well, I see so many more company trucks sitting at the Beef plants than Lease.... Stealing all the goods loads.... Have to compete with these company trucks along with all the other Carriers........
darthanubis and wolf71 Thank this. -
if you owned a company with lease and company trucks would your thought be to make yourself more money or provide your lease drivers with the best paying loads?
-
That's the problem.......

I can't really blame them.
