Any info on Prime's orientation in Salt Lake versus Missouri? How many trucks do you really get to choose from? What do there solo drivers really net a week running 11 western compared to all 48 states? Ive never ran refer units, always doing dry vans so I do alot of drop and hooks, how often do refer drivers get to drop and hook? (for Prime)? Does Prime have a major lane they run, or is it pretty much even everywhere? Just curious and thanks for the input... OH, Ive heard there recieving KW, Petes, Volvos now with some APU's, are these also in Salt Lake? or just there Missouri Terminal?

run....far and fast but run
as has been said many times on this forum, never lease, let alone lease from the same place you get your frieght -
I can't help but believe that running the 11 western would be very costly..... I went through SLC this past week and it's not a bad facility. The MO facility on the other hand is in a class of its own. A very unique place....the closest I've come to it is the TMC facility in Des Moines. I had a list of about 20+ trucks to choose from.......only bad thing was none of them were Yellow that day......dangit'!!
I know what a lot of these guys think about leasing......but, I didn't have the means to get my own financing, etc. And so far.....It's working out great!
I would go to MO......they have tons(literally) of freight that will get you out west any time you wanna go. -

ive talked to a few lease op's and there doing very well with Prime! They say the ones that dont pan out are the drivers that cant handle the 500 + miles a day.

I hate to say it this way....but a lot of young drivers get the freedom of being able to pick loads and refuse the ones they don't want, along with being able to run like you want, and end up making some bad business decisions.....and, I think Brickman will even agree with me on this, that if you aren't ready to work....and I mean go after it....you don't need to try to be an O/O or Lease OP either one. Because you can go backwards a lot easier than you can crawl out of the hole you're gonna dig for yourself.
There's GOOD money to be made out here....you just gotta be willing to stay away from home.....keep that left door closed....and keep rolling. OH, and go to the truck-stop and get fuel/SSS.....THEN LEAVE.
