Actually the size of the sleeper isn't too bad, I put a cab curtain up on mine to increase the living space. It's basically the build quality of the trucks that had me p.o.'d, some of the design and quality of the truck is dirt poor IMHO, especially some of the control arrangements and the lousy sleeper curtains, but then again I'm partial Volvo's operator station design- the last one I drove, it fit me like a glove, and that was just a loaner I was driving with a sleeper tinier than the lw's! Lol

I was wondering what's the chances that tankers chances of getting full or lw. but I kind of figured its exactly what they got. I also see the truck that looks close to almost a lw but the top part is shorter as if they shorten the roof but it still has a full size bed for 2. I thought the tankers would get those type of trucks cause it looks exactly like the tankers height with the roof shorten

What you are talking about is a midroof cab. And yep, some tanker yankers are using them.

yea thanks highway for clearing that out for me I spoken with I believe the trainer fleet manager hear at the millennium building & ask him would we get paid more then 44cpm if we get the lightweight trucks they said no all well get is fuel bonus. I said to myself thats screwed up theyll offer more pay to the reefers for taking it but only give fuel bonuses to us in the tankers division if we get those lw. I hope ill get a regular condo or a midsize roof.

Reefers pay is .37cpm then the .05 for the LW plus fuel bonus. Plus solo reefer drivers don't really get a choice as 99% will get a LW until they become a trainer or have a good reason to get a condo. Once in a condo their CPM is .37 plus fuel bonus. I am not sure how the tanker pay is broken down but if it what you said then with a full fuel bonus you would be at .50CPM try going any where else and get a starting pay like that.

oh cardinal not complaining at all *by far* about the starting pay I feel its excellent even though we don't get loading & unloading pay for tankers. I guess im new to the whole fuel bonus & don't see how it benefits isnt it just like I think a $25 extra cash check or something to that degree. I didn't notice it can *if it do* count towards your cpm. im new to the industry so please excuse me for the lack of knowledge to this whole fuel bonus etc

No fuel bonus is say you have a good week fuel wise and get the full bonus of .06cpm then that is times how many miles for that week. Say you do 2,500 for the week x .06= $150 extra on your check before taxes.

ooh wwooww so fuel bonus makes a major impact of a difference then I thought it plays a major role in the cpm. how does the fuel bonus determine if you care to go into more detail to educate me on this interesting subject
