Prime, never been insulted by employer before.

The guy wasn't insulting you, he was just telling you that you will never succeed at Prime, Inc., unless you run with you spouse as a team, and all the money is going into the same bank account - WHICH IS THE TRUTH

I understand what your saying, but there are better ways to say it and go about it then the way this dude did. Wonder how he would feel if I walked up and just told his wife rudely she is dumb and stupid and being selfish like he did mine.

You were smart enough to figure it out, before you owed them money, so you should be happy. I am glad I quit, too, before I owed them money. Prime hasn't changed one iota, and they aren't going to, because every red-blooded American male has been indoctrinated that if he works hard enough, in America, that he can achieve anything. That is simply not true with Prime, Inc., but we all try it anyway.

Dont' beat yourself up over it and try to forget about them.


I did end up owing them. all my funds ran dry while with them. I knew it would take time for revenue to roll in, but the way they book you on loads, all your really doing is running the loads they dont want the company trucks on and it still allows them to make money while you work for free. Every load I had had on avg over 400 miles deadhead.

 

Very well said Jim. The only thing they paid for was lumpers. On tolls, you pay 78% of the tolls, reefer, you pay it all, you pay full price for permits, base plates everything. I bought my chains thru them, supersingle chains, $60 a bag x 2, when I turned them in 30 days later, they gave me $24 for both bags. I was not permitted to buy load locks anyehre but thru them, padlocks chains, nothing, it all had to be thru them. It did teach me a good lesson though. Never lease, if you are, never do it with the company you are going to sign on with. They even kept saying that our trk payment a week of $863 included blates and permits and stuff, NOT! $863 a week was just the truck payment every week. Then they charged ya $16 a week for pre pass and $1 for every green light you got, $20 a week for eazy pass plus tolls, then for any money owed them, 3.38% intrest for every dollar. so on tolls, if it cost me $56 to run, I paid 78% and on the 28% i had to pay, they charged me 3.38% intrest on it.

How can they justify charging you 16.00 per week for pre-pass when it's only 13.50 per month? And charging you for green lights? Scan a settlement, I need to see this with my own eyes.

That's $3700.00 a month. No way on God's green earth you were ever gonna a make it paying that...Not in this Decessation!
