That's unusal. My experience with the recruiters was that they were very straight-forward with me. If you feel that someone misled you, I'd suggest that you talk to someone about it - they don't tollerate that sort of behavior. IMO, the company's that "pay" for orientation are doing it as an incentive to lure you there. JB Hunt pays... if you accept it and are booted out, they put a termination on your DAC. I think I'd prefer to forgo "pay" for orientation.
Couple of questions for the group. I have a lapse of 3 months where I was unemployed do I need a letter or anything for the packet? Next question is what do you need as far as references? And last but not least how far back do the go for the background check?
1. Not sure 2. I was only asked for one ref. I would get three business and three personal so you have them. Better to have and not need IMO. 3. 3 years without driving, 10 years with driving. As far as criminal, etc - that is lifetime (18-whenever). Yes, I realize this is an old thread...but the question was never answered.
