I haven't been bashing Prime like I used to do. I just offered some advice to the guy if he didn't wanna jump thru all of Primes medical hoops.
Oh no he didn't!! Oh yes he did!!
There changed it for you, feel better now?? But which one is incorrect, my age or experience?? Better question is why does either one matter if the information is correct??
So you started at age 14?? Let me guess your pappy and grand daddy were both drivers and at 14 they taught you to start driving in a '69 Mack twin stick 5x4 and were lucky to have a fan sitting on top of the dashboard and no air ride suspension...yadda yadda yadda. But in reality your a noob and that's why you went to Prime for "training" even though you drove "years" ago.
Now THAT is LOL

I really wasn't trying to "bash" Prime. It's the fact they want to go "above and beyond" what the FMCSA requires; but then again that is their right to do so; but in the mean time guys are sitting around needing and wanting to go to work!!
Matter of fact the only thing I dis-like about Prime now a days is making grown men room together during training/orientation. I mean they have a multi-million Terminal but they dont think enough of the guys to have PRIVATE rooms.Last edited: Jun 3, 2012

Im not even finishing reading all that... Not intersted in someones opinion who knows nothing about what they speak of.

I've laid off the Prime bashing, other then the fact they have grown men sharing roomsand the fact they "brainwash" people to thinking you have to run 53mph to be profitable.
Come down off your pretentious high horse and actually read a post before you get all defensive thinking someone is bashing your company. -
2. What you're doing now is called "trolling" - that isn't allowed either.
3. The extra medical hoops are because our owner does not want another person dying in the sleeper of one of his trucks because of an undiagnosed or incipient medical condition. It would seem that the priority of the welfare of his employees and contractors is placed above profits. -
1) Banned for what?? Having a difference of opinon??
2)Trolling?? It seems if someone puts a different perspective on things they are called a troll. I have every right to be able to post my opinon as you do, as long as it's within the rules of the forum. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...rum-information-center/98668-forum-rules.html
I do have a grudge against Prime for the way my best friend was treated by the doc's there, for a matter that couldve been handled with a fax and a phone call.
3)While I may see the logic in the medical reasoning, although I dis-agree, all he cares about is the profits.
Light-weight trucks to haul more freight equals smaller living enviroment to drivers, unless you wanna lease a truck.
The sharing of rooms; the man built a multi-million terminal but doesnt have the courtesy to give grown people private rooms.
Its been said he is also part owner of the place where Prime drivers are sent to do the sleep study, which wouldnt suprise me, too tired to try and search if its true right now but I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong.
IMO outrageous lease payments and the list can go on and on and on -
If you want to start a dust-up, this isn't the thread to do it on. Go over to the bad company folder, and have at it. I'll be happy to debate you on all of the above.

I am not overly excited about rooming with someone either. The way I am looking at it is that sharing a space with another adult male is something I am going to have to do for the next few months so I might as well get used to it. Also, in researching other companies that offer the same type of CDL training that Prime does I found Central, England, Stevens, FFE etc. all have similar living arrangements that require you to share space with anywhere from two to four trainees while in training.

I would think a wise 30 year old like yourself, with 50 years [typo?] of experience could transcend all worldly issues such as this.
As far as outrageous lease payments, no one puts a gun to anyone's head to lease... it's a matter of personal decision.
The head of Prime is a business man and he wants to make money. Nothing wrong with that.
From what I've read on this forum, there are a lot of content drivers and I'll be joining them next month.
