Pee in a cup. Height and weight for BMI. Blood pressure. Lift 75 lb. box using proper lifting technique to your waist. Eye test, Hearing test. Doctor checks reflexes. heart and lungs, hernia. Touch your toes, duckwalk and that's it. BP and BMI are the things that knock most people out.
realicon Thanks this. -
Thank you very much

Is it a clothes off?

Just for the doctor in a private examining room. The nurses just have you remove your shoes for recording your height.

Well my husband just failed the physical. Everytime he goes to a Doctor, his blood pressure is high the first time they take it. It is always fine the second time. He just passed his Physical in August. The Doctor at Prime will not take it a second time. They say one time only. I am sure many people fail because of this policy. As he was going back to his room, the company called that he really was hoping to work for. Starts their orientation on Monday. Doesn't have to have another physical either.

I've got a couple of questions for you regarding your husbands hiring process NoPrime. As background; I live in the Phoenix area, I've sent an app to Prime, waiting a week I called to check on it's status. I was told that Prime wasn't hiring from AZ, as they see it as a rocky mountain state, not in their desired hiring area. I spoke with two recruiters, each told me that I'd have to move to a state from where Prime was drawing. Subsequent to this move I'd need to establish residency to further qualify as a hiree. From what you've said it appears your husband was at the very least pre-hired, thus the physical. Was he told that his Phoenix residency was a negative factor? Was the Prime doctor who administered his physical in AZ? Was he hiring on as a student in Prime's program? I truly hope good fortune for you and your "driver". Thanks.

Prime does not take 2 BP readings back to back... they wait at least 12 hours. I have personally known or talked to quite a few individuals who were allowed to come back the next morning and take their BP again... after given some sound advice by the nurse (no smoking, get a good nights rest, avoid certain foods at breakfast...especially coffee etc etc etc)
And even those who failed on the second try, were sent home and told to see their doctors and get treated. A minnimum of four weeks must past under a doctor's treatment for high blood pressure and the prospective employee is alowed to come back. Again they must maintain thier treatment regimine (be it medication, diet, etc) and provide the documentation from their doctor.
I know at least one person, for sure, who went home, got on treatment and meds... has returned to Prime and is driving.
If your husband doesnt have a current DOT medical card, he WILL be taking another physical. Its a Federal requirement to drive a truck, and can and will be asked for during paperwork inspections at scale houses and inspection stations. It is also a requirement of his company to keep a copy of that documentation on file.
Whether he drives or doesnt, cheats the system with a shady DOT doc etc... the BP reading is a indicator of future health problems if your husband doesnt get this under control...
If you take anything from this post, at least have him see a Doctor to ensure that this BP reading was either a fluke, or something that needs to be treated.
