All of the '09s and '10s are like that due to the lack of truck production in those years. There just aren't enough of them around which is driving up the price.
-
Yep, keep looking. That's ridiculous!

Compared to the prices a couple of years ago when everyone was dumping their tractors? Sure. As soon as the supply of a product gets restricted (the OEMs were laying off in those years, and production went into the tank,) the price gets bidded up. Supply and demand.

I get that.....but you would be a fool to take a 75k note on a truck with 750k. The truck doesn't have 5 years left in it on the mechanical side.
Now if the unit was showing 275 to 325k where a driver has a chance to run it before a major repair...then maybe.
Taint nothing fresh about these horses...... -
KW dealers have used T660's for 60K with under 600K. Some with 350-400k. Even with studio sleepers..... Anywhere from 60K-85K.
Conway turned in a bunch of team trucks with studio's at 600K for 55K-65K. -
On the Pedigree site they have 09 387's from $52,500 with 665k miles to $67,700 with 442k miles. Only thing I saw for 85k was some of them '10 baby Pete 384's with miles in the 200k range. I didn't see the ones for 75k with 750k miles.

Then again, there's this small problem called financing. The banks aren't lending unless your credit rating is higher than Jesus'.

Don't understand why you guys, if you're just starting out, are looking at high dollar equipment. More than likely this won't be the last truck you own. Why not get and older rig in suitable shape and get on your feet first, and then worry about having a newer truck?
ama91761 Thanks this. -
I can answer that. I chose Prime because the finding loads thing is what I do not know well. I understand military logistics and transportation, but it doesn't quite fit this industry. I can drive, and manage time, and get this job done. Prime is one of the best companies for quality loads and quality trailers to pull. They require newer trucks if you want to O/O with them. THey also require 7.0 MPG abilities. I chose to be a newbie and experience the thrill of going from here to there later. I would love to pick up a 10' or 11' T660 with the studio sleeper, but that's a dream.....
