Wilson will allow you to run dry van in the western states, or you can go 48 and haul PRIMES freight. The training program doesn't send you to a school, but you'll go with a trainer and learn it all on the road. They were good to me, and despite leaving there, I believe in their safety/training.

I think its because they lost several major lawsuits regarding that and it cost them dearly

Not to turn this political but Roehl loves to be classified as a top carrier for women drivers and take extra care of them. You’ll get good runs and great miles and treated better than most places. But unfortunately I don’t think they have much out west besides flatbed. They may have curtainside.

They want you to lease because Robert Low is not yet a billionaire. He is only in the hundreds of millions so far in net worth.

    Thats funny.
I drove for Roehl for about a month. If you need a lot of babysitting then Roehl is a great place. They had to become a training company because they could not attract and retain professional drivers. My time at Roehl was like being in an episode of the office or parks and rec.
Funny memories and an appreciation for good professional companies though.

I do more than that in a private fleet. I'm home weekends, have all major holidays paid, 16 days vacation, pension, 401k, etc. It is also the least stressful driving job I've ever had.

I would rather get kicked in my coin purse with a steel toed boot than drive for Wal Mart. Wal Mart is not the only private fleet in America.
