Prime will be installing camera's in its trucks. Just heard at Friday's Meeting....

In the "olden-days" of truckin"....the Company was "responsible" and the driver was "culpable". Know the difference?

Now, it seems like Prime and all the other bottom-feeders are trying to shift the RESPONSIBILITY on to the driver (and off of the company) as well. As the operator of the vehicle, you are already CULPABLE, lock, stock and mother-'effin barrel.....

 

I really just seems that the driver facing cameras are one more way drivers are being told they cannot be trusted, and are incapable of making their own decisions.

Maybe the next step will be that all radio controls must be mounted in an outside storage compartment along with cell phones. No question that would save lives, so why not?

Getting used to the overall feeling of distrust is going to be tough getting used to for me, coming from a completely different type of industry.

Whatever happened to privacy in this great land of ours.Employers and the government dictates and controls us.

Actually in just about every other profession employees are supervised, its just that they have lacked the technology up until now in our industry, we have more and more drivers these days proving that they need this supervision.
