I'm a studen at a truck driving school looking for a good company. I looked into Prime sound like a good company so I applyed. Called the next day to check on the app and the recruiter asked me if had job history for the passed 36 months. I said no I've been laid off for the passed 16 months, he couldn't get off the phone with me fast enough.

It's laziness,If you were laid off then your unemployment record will do fine..Just have UE print out your history.I think Prime has so many apps the the recruiters don't want the extra hassle. All the 36 month history is about is to make sure you have not been in jail recently..Does your school have placement programs? If so get that print out of your UE give it to your school person incharge of that and do their job..

If your not recieving UE anymore then most companys have afdavits for you and that is a legal doc showing what you have been up to.

What's UE? -
Un employment ??????
Compensation ?? -
Unemployment..or short for state unemployment..basically the people who send the checks.. -
It's part of the profile they build on applicants - and yeah, its a way to weed-out lazy people. Now that doesn't mean that just because you haven't been working, that you are by definition "lazy," especially the last couple of years. Its the low statistical likelyhood of a new driver staying on as a career with that sort of background, and that Prime absorbs the cost of CDL-school tuition for the most part.
