Hi, mikej... and welcome to the forum!
Is Prime a good company for company drivers? It depends on what you consider "good". We have drivers here that are very content with Prime -- both as company drivers and lease-operators. On the other hand, there are drivers here who have been very unhappy with Prime and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
The best way to answer your question is to advise you to read the threads here on Prime and ask very specific questions you may still need answered. Asking if a company is "good" is just too general to get adequate responses.
Good luck! -
I have a driver working for me that went with PRIME for his training.
Started out with no experience , stayed for a few years as a company driver.
Was well trained and has done a great job here for past 3 years.mikej123 Thanks this. -
Did he stay otr with prime for 3 years? or did he find something local with them?
-
He did 3 years OTR with PRIME, got married & found the job I had open at the time , mix of local / regional.

Weir they good with sending him home after he was out for 2 weeks? also is prime better then werner enterprise I here alot of bad things about werner enterprise. prime seemed like it was a better place to work and get your traning done. Thanks for your information hard to know what company to pick for after i graduate school trucking.

He said PRIME got him home 99% of the time when promised , ( not bad ) the old WERNER was a good outfit , I worked there as did my son , today its a lot different from what I see , hear from people I know that are still there and read on this site.

With you living in Auburn ME you should look into running Prime's local gig out of the Walmart DC in Lewiston ME.
I don't know any of the particulars, but I've run a couple multi stoppers and RI was the furthest South for my last stop. I think they are home every day or possibly 2. But don't quote me on that.
OTR guys who pick up loads there in a Walmart trailer are gauranteed to return and likely get another. OTR drivers departing with one of their loads on a Prime trailer are one way... A sort of ticket out of the Wally world loop.mikej123 Thanks this. -
do you know if they hire graduate students for walmart dc?
-
also wel companies said they would hire me but I have to wait till im 23.
