Wow this thread is still going a year and a half after I started it? Gee whiz...

As a small businessperson, you have no greater leverage than the truth.
-
Well then why don't you supply some words of wisdom, help folks out, and dispense with the stupid pictures? You claim 21-years of experience, and could be helpful to many.

Wow! I have been reading up on Prime's threads now for a couple of weeks. I am newb....Well a wannabe. LOL!
Anyways, I am suprised at all the BS I have noticed on this forum.
I am in no way, shape or form experienced to comment on trucking let alone, a Lease(Flease).
I have posted on other threads and I will admit that looking into other companies aka "starter" companies that Prime seems to be the one that makes the most sense.
Yes, NoTarps had a bad experience, and he has a right to his opinion. U2 seems to be doing well with Prime as well as IronPony.
Sazook is the only Lease/Operator for Prime that I have seen post on here, and I believe that he should really be the only one to really comment on what life is truly like as a L/O for Prime. Now granted, IP has looked up a lot of information and he is entitled to his opinion as well. I don't think by any means he is trying to push the L/O on anyone looking for information. All companies have their goods and bads. Heck, my last job I researched online and had all kinds of negativitiy. I went and worked there and I said to myself "Those naysayers must have been smoking crack or just had a horrible work ethic" I think life is what YOU put into it. You do a half butt job and you get half butt out of it. You put your nose to the grindstone and kick butt you reap more rewards. People really don't have the drive and determination anymore. Most look for that quick buck and don't want to work hard for it.
I know I am rambling and I apologize. Not trying to preach or step on anyone's toes. I am interested in Trucking cause I am sure I'd enjoy the lifestyle. I don't have a wife, kids, a mortgage, etc. I love adventure, the open road, visiting new spots. Heck, I take road trips in my car everywhere. I know that driving a truck is different than driving a car.... but miles are miles right? I mean if I drive from my home here in Bmore to Chicago on a whim, I say why not get paid for it? LOL!!!! Yeah I have a family, but I was in the Navy and I was gone for months at a time. My family is very supportive of me in this and both of my folks agreed that the lifestyle suits me. There are some stereotypes that they are concered about, however, I am not..... I just know I can/will succeed in my endeavors. I am not here to make millions or look for a quick buck.
Again, sorry to ramble. I appreciate everyone's opinion and I enjoy reading the posts. We should all be professionals and respect everyone. Thanks again for all that you do on the road.....
BTW... Sazook, can I ask for you to be my trainer when I pass my CDL and you show me the ropes? LOL!!!!! Just kidding. Good luck to you.allycatt2 Thanks this. -
