I appreciate your spirit. But entry level and top paid are two polar opposites.
You are going to be paid at the bottom like everyone else. Until you have either proven to be a 90 day burned out accident prone wonder or a 10 year veteran with a perfect record and top pay.
Keep in mind if they offer you 0.20 anything that's 1980's pay for top hands. And 0.30 anything is the same for top hands in the 90's
If I wanted to pay a newbie, it's going to be 0.60 and top hands at least 0.75 Teams 1.25 Particularly husband wife teams otherwise 1.00
Mileage pay is dating to the 1934 time period. (Overtime specifically denied to industry) and salary would be what I advocate as a pernament changeover so that your unemployment, benefits etc would know exactly what you were paid. (You will find that some State Offices are unable to decide what your pay is when you show up with mileage pay in the office.)
Thank you for your service and if you are carrying a income from the VA for a percentage for service connected disability, (Service connected disability is not the same as DOT limitations physically) you are in a much better situation than 95% of all others in your orientation class who cannot rub together a 20 dollar bill or get clean.Texas_hwy_287 and mibethea Thank this. -
