Prked region switch on 2011 prostar

    This is how I ended up on the side of the road. Eventually none of the gears would tach up at all. Finally got it into a shop and they replaced the manifold pressure/temp sensor gauge (which I had to wait 3 days to get it shipped in...but that's a different story). It's only been a few weeks, but no more issues as of yet.

    Apparently my company told them NOT to change the crank case filter or DPF filter or injectors. Guess they like broken equipment and keeping their drivers so broke they can't afford to leave...

    That sensor gets plugged up on a regular basis on mine.
    I clean mine every couple months by removing it and spraying it out with carb cleaner.
    Takes about 5 minutes....

    HeavyD on the International truck forum told me that trick.
    It has kept me out of the shop anyway...

    Actually I usually only take a couple of 10 minute breaks,...........you know, A long way to go and a short time to get there.I give them my all because they take good care of me.

    On top of intake manifold.one bolt holds it in...
    This is the only video I found..Heavy D on the International threads can explain better where exactly it is.You should find ok after watching the video..I think it was an 8mm bolt...Can't remember for sure.

    I I turn my ignition key off and on three times and the faults go away.
    The problem is too long idle time, or running slow speeds.
    Try the key reset. Then hammer down
