“Hey driver, how do you like driving for Moron Trucking? They give you decent miles? How often you get home? Do you have driver cams? Where do they run you mostly? Dedicated account?”
Every one of us has had another driver ask about the job. It’s not a big deal.
Prob a stupid mistake on my part :/

Every once in awhile I those same questions from drivers asking about Marten. I tell them my personal experiences, the good, the bad,no BS, and let them decide for themselves if they want to join or not.
OldeSkool, Lonesome and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
The problem I have with questions like that is I'm not sure what they're looking for. When someone asks you "What's it like to drive for XYZ transportation?" they're seeking some specific information. And if they don't give you anything else, you don't know if you're helping them. So what I do, if I'm asked, I then answer with a question. "Can you ask me specific questions about my company and I can answer them?" If they do that, you can quickly understand what is top priority to them. Some ask about pay first, some ask about hometime. Some ask about maintenance. Sometimes they ask the weirdest #### in the world. But their first question is ALWAYS what they want to know the most. But you can't read their minds so you don't know what info to give them.

Yes,sometimes it’s a little tricky but it helps to ask them what specifically are they looking for. They may ask direct questions-give them direct answers.

When the Citizens Band radio was popular years ago, I would see a truck and contact the driver via radio. Some thing along the lines of "hey northbound Idiot transfer, how do you like your company"? Most would reply with the pro's and cons. I believe most were honest. I would get reply's like "pay is low, but the job is easy" "Dispatch are idiots, I don't recommend this company" etc.mjd4277 and RollinChaos Thank this.
