Students drive around our terminals practicing getting used to shifting, and having a trailer. Good Luck.

When I trained at another company back in the day they were a little less PC. It was called the idiot circle. :yes2557:

Ah who likes being pc anyway. That's a great name for it.

Yep, nothing more fun than watching a group of newbies running the idiot circle! Listening to those poor old engines get all wound up or bogged down, all them gears getting ground right on down...and oh! Watching the trucks hop and stall!

Thank the gods Millis ain't the only company that does the idiot circle...I have few memories of being more amused at the yard. Especially by the newbies that just spent the last hour convincing us actual driver how they were the greatest thing to ever hit the industry. Those were usually the biggest idiots running the circle. Moral? Best to keep your yap shut and let your skills do the talking, instead.

Ok another questionable question... Are shorts frowned upon? More jeans and whatnot? Just don't want to be THAT guy...

You have to think to yourself. "How would that look in the Idiot Circle"? :biggrin_2559:

Shorts are fine. You dont want to wear anything to nice as you will be getting in and out over and underneath the trucks. Wear comfortable tennis shoes. I wore shorts and t shirts the entire time I was in school last year. Just no cut offs or sleeveless shirts. Bring rain gear. You will be out on the range rain or shine.
