Hi this is my 1st post. I need some input on a situation I'm having. It started when I parked my truck for 2days for some home time. When I got to my truck it was dead. I checked to see if I left anything on and couldn't find anything. So I jumped it and made my delivery and checked my batteries which 1 was bad. But During the time I jumped it and made the delivery all of a sudden my speedometer with haywire and my truck shutdown on side of the road. I checked for any visual problems, checked solenoid, solenoid wire, wire harness etc. couldn't see anything. Truck started but this continues intermittently. My diagnostic is not working so I have no codes. I go to have it put on computer tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas. I've changed fuel filter, replaced battery, and checked all connections so far

I have same truck, same engine & same problem as you. Mechanic found a wire that was touching the frame behind the sleeper.
repaired the wire and have not had any issues since.

Thx for ur input...had it put on pc. It showed ground problem. Checked ecm ground fuse which was blown. All the faults couldve been caused by this. It also showed cam sensor. Replaced cam sensor. Replaced wire to selenoid. It still shutdown.Checked all wiring cant seem to find short. This is a real pain....Help!!!

Does this model have the fusible link in between the starter and frame? That can cause serious problems, but that is on volvo with volvo engine.

Why the ignition switch??? are you saying that I could be turning truck on/off if ignition switch is worn out? I had a test light on solenoid when truck shut down. The ecm shuts off power to seleniod...Any other ideas??/
