Problem with Cummins N14: starts up then shuts off

When I had my BC 1, I added a Raccor filter and kept the standard filter. Everything was great for awhile and soon suddenly i started having issues. I couldn’t keep the fuel filter full. At the end, I had to eliminate one or the other. There was to much restriction with 2 fuel filters so I bypass the can filter and kept the Raccor fuel/water separator and it solve the issue.

 

I have been running this way for almost 10 years with no issues. Had some water issues before but the Davco fixed that. This seems my problems are down stream towards the tanks but I don't know. I pulled the return line distributor and its as clean as it can be? The 90 on top the feed side is clean too so that takes me to the pickup tubes is guess?

 

I eliminated the pick tube and made my tank draw of the bottom of the tank.

 

Thanks for the support and its fixed. I ended up replacing all the fuel lines at the crossover area between the tanks. Mostly because they were as hard as a rock / so stiff they wouldn't bend seriously checking and cracking from age. Well that makes me nervous and is a failure waiting to happen. I blew out the hard lines, vent lines and pickup tubes but I didn't find any "obvious" blockages. Never the less I primed it and it started right up and runs fine and restarts again. Ill never know where the actual problem was but its fixed now.
