Both valves on the trailer seem too have to much pressure on them so I cant hook up the hydraulic hoses. Cant push either nipple in. I have to crack the lines back by the control handle to relieve pressure, then the hoses hook up fine. This doesn't happened everytime but I would say every 3rd or 4th time. Any idea on why this happens or what I can do to fix this.

Pressure is building in the lines because of temperature changes after you disconnect. You can add a small service valve to relieve the pressure before connecting your hoses or replace the quick disconnects with the threaded kind. It makes it easier to relieve the pressure by tapping on the dog ears with a hammer if the fittings have pressure behind them. If your unsure what the threaded fittings look like I can snap a pic of mine tomorrow.

Ok Thanks, makes sense to me. I thought of tapping with a hammer but wasn't sure if I would damage them. I will try that next time

Tapping with a hammer will squirt oil out so be careful with that. Quick connects are convenient but we finally gave up and stuck with threaded ends. Seems like either way you're going to need to keep a hammer around

Thanks. since ive posted this I haven't had the pressure on the fitting to try the hammer trick. But I'm sure it will happened again. Boss is talking about going to threaded fittings as well.
