Hmmm.
I quit Trans Am yesterday. Well actually I gave my 2 weeks notice.
See they TELL you one thing, but DO another.
I dropped my trainee off. The way I see it is my last 2 weeks may as well be peaceful!
I quit for my wife and family. OTR is no way to keep the house going.
It's not that we're not adapting, we are. It's mainly for the kids.
Being OTR is almost like daddy goin away for prison. I am never there,
I live in a small box, visitation is short and only once every few weeks.
I believe kids need a positive male role model (hopefully their father) in their life. I have a son that is 3. Every time I am home he says "I love you dad", over and over for the duration of my furlow. I mean he says it about three times an hour!
Two nights ago I had a dream. My father was alive in my dream (he died 12 years ago). The only thing I could think to say when I saw him in my dream is "I love you dad". When I was young we never played ball, never spent much time together, never went fishing... you get the idea.
He was always working. But he was also always my hero.
Anyway, that's the reason I quit.
But now that I did, I have questions.
Why does every company turn a blind eye to running illegal?
Why do you run illegal only to wait half a day for the next load, and it only goes 300 miles?
Another driver brought this up:
Why does Trans Am make a statement that first year experienced Trans Am drivers earn over $52,000 annually?
It doesn't say "up to" or "average" or "have the potential to".
Here is the quote:
Our first year experienced drivers earn over $52,000 per year.
That would mean an average of $1000 per week. OR BETTER.
Hmm. I haven't averaged $52K. My average is actually only about $750 per week. That's an annual pay of only $39K
So Trans Am is doing what? They are lying. It's called FALSE ADVERTISING. There is a BIG difference between $52K and $39K.
I am almost sure it is illegal to advertise a set pay and not deliver.
Promises, promises, why do I believe...TransAm?
