Aw peanut, you deserve better than a crusty R model Mack, non-Mack motor( chrome bulldog) and a 10 speed. Hauling like you are doing, basically automated, shouldn't be a problem, but at the Pilot, could be an issue. And buckle that seatbelt!

Just because they put a clutch pedal in the truck, it doesn't mean you have to use it. "Float them gears, driver."

Didn't say it was a GOOD tie; just a plain, black cotton tie. K-Mart used to sell 'em.....

That was a LaSalle, not a "cornbinder".....

So, back when I was driving, I always wore a shirt with a collar (often short-sleeve), black jeans, steel toe oxfords. The shirts were usually company shirts; got 2 free per year, and they sold them for only $10.....

    201 and Lonesome Thank this.

She's probably new, that fades after a while when you realize, using the clutch doesn't do much, and this one must be an "easy" push one. The R model I drove took both feet at a stop light, so never used it once rolling.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Nope, that is definitely an E-6 Mack engine. I’d know that rattletrap music anywhere.

I think the chrome vs the gold bulldog wasn’t a thing until after Volvo bought them.

Your definitely right not only do I recognize the sound I seen a video where she changed oil herself getting ready for harvest I believe. It’s for sure Mack

As far as the chrome verse gold bulldog I don’t know the requirements or when all that started.

Lonesome, Star Rider and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Well, correcting you my friend is like pulling the mask off the Lone Ranger, but chrome vs. gold bulldogs began in 1967, when a gold bulldog indicated all Mack, and chrome, something in the drive line was not Mack. That changed in 1980 when gold was changed to silver.
