This is just stupid enough for them to actually make it a law. After all, it IS a new tax, and we all know how they love new taxes.
Let's take these EPA jerks down to California's Imperial Valley in the summer time. Take them to some of the feed lots there, and make them work there for a summer! Then take them up to Milford Utah where the pig feed lots are. Make them work there for another summer.
Then lets put them in a slaughter house and make them spend a couple of years working in there.

These are the same people who made us have to flush our toilets ten times just to get a steamer down the pipe. So, how can we expect any better now? But, remember, these same people have toilets that would suck a cow down with one flush...

Farmers Target EPA Report They Say Might Tax Cows
Farmers turn up noses at what they say is EPA proposal to charge for air-polluting cows
By BOB JOHNSON Associated Press Writer
MONTGOMERY, Ala. December 5, 2008 (AP)
For farmers, this stinks: Belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if the federal government decides to charge fees for air-polluting animals.
Farmers so far are turning their noses up at the notion, which they contend is a possible consequence of an Environmental Protection Agency report after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that greenhouse gases from motor vehicles amounts to air pollution.
"This is one of the most ridiculous things the federal government has tried to do," said Alabama Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, an outspoken opponent of the fees.
EPA officials insisted Friday that the lengthy, highly technical report, which mostly focuses on other sources of air pollution, does not include a proposal to tax livestock.
But the American Farm Bureau Federation said, based on federal agriculture department figures, it would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog.

If this law goes through,....Many farmers will just sell off there herds and quit,....Things are tight enough for them as it is......
Then where does are food come from...... -
What is next they begin taxing us for breathing. Here would be a better TAX how about Removing the tax exemption on the Church hell with what the Cathlic Church alone holds could BALANCE THE FREAKING BUDGET and the others could go along way to paying off the debt.

The EPA is another one of those agencies that needs to go away. There was a time that they were useful, but their audacity and idiocy has superseded that exponentially.
Lilbit Thanks this.
